”What if Porsche lost their minds in the 60s, took half a 911 and built the other half out of parts stolen from the Le Mans field in 2045?” A true purist killer. This was not the first bad idea Nikita and Illya Bridan had come up with. But no other bad idea had seemed quite this good. They crafted extremely realistic images of the design, dropped them in a gasoline-soaked corner of the Internet, and the idea caught fire. Now they’re taking commissions from very rich, insane people to make 25 of them for real. Oilstainlab’s vision for motorsport is as anarchic as it is conceptually ambitious. I loved helping them put it into words.

The meme became a myth became a machine. The Last Bad Idea was to launch the Half-11 prototype on a reverse Cannonball Run, the notorious illicit race from east coast to west coast that peaked in the 70s. MP Curtet and LA Creative Team took the brand narrative on the road and created a film that perfectly captured the mania.
