We developed the ‘Master the drive’ platform that all Nissan’s agencies worked off in the sponsorship campaign for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
‘Learner Jedi’ was the launch film, produced in partnership with Lucasfilm, Industrial Light & Magic and Skywalker Sound, with music by John Williams. Star Wars nerd interest: the commercial mirrors the plot of the film, with the master (the dad) becoming a reluctant teacher to the upstart (the daughter). When the nervous girl uses the classic Star Wars line 'I've got a bad feeling about this', her dad calms her down by referencing dialogue from The Last Jedi. The final line of the spot echoes Han Solo's classic line to Luke Skywalker: "Great kid! Now don't get cocky." Literal Disney moment.
